The national BSA organization highly regards the Greater Pittsburgh Council as one of the finest in the country, citing its dynamic volunteers, excellent facilities and rich tradition of superior Scouting. Established in 1915, the Council serves a membership of more than 46,000 young people in all phases of Scouting in Allegheny, Beaver, Greene , Washington and portions of Westmoreland and Fayette Counties . The Council's mission to prepare young people to make ethical choices by instilling in them the values of the Scout Oath and Law continues to be fulfilled in the lives of hundreds of thousands of young people over the years.
Services of A. L. Brourman Associates Inc. were retained in 2002 to conduct a Feasibility Study and a $12 million Development Campaign for Capital Improvements of their Campgrounds; Endowment; and, Urban Outreach Programs. |
